Quick Start Guide

  • Battery Operation:

Remove the battery cover with a Philips head screwdriver and attach a 9 Volt battery (not included). Replace the cover and secure the screw back in place.

    Power Adaptor Operation:

Remove the 12 Volt DC jack cover with a Philips head screwdriver. Insert the optional power cord and replace the cover, securing with the screw. (Please note that the power adaptor is an optional add-on to the Shoo Cat. It is not included in the Shoo Cat box and is purchased separately.)

    Note:

If you are using the optional 12 Volt DC power adaptor, do not insert a 9 Volt battery. The Shoo Cat can only use one power port at a time.

Then Slide The Power Switch To ON.

  • Power On The Shoo Cat

Press the Power Button on the front of the unit. The Train Light will flash red for 45 seconds, then flash fast for 15 seconds, and finally turn off. The Shoo Cat is now ready.

    Note:

There are 2 modes on the Shoo Cat: Train and Repel. Train is motion activated and appropriate for pet cats. Repel emits a continuous sound and is only used outdoors for lingering neighbor cats. If the Repel light is lit when you power the unit on, press the Power Button again to switch the mode to Train.

  • Place the Shoo Cat in the area you want to defend. The Shoo Cat has a range of 16 to 8 feet.

The Shoo Cat can be used on counters, furniture, in doorways and on floors. Take caution to place the unit in an area where the motion sensor on the front of the unit will not be obstructed.

  • Training Takes Time

The Shoo Cat is a training device that will teach your cats to avoid it over time. With consistent use, 90% of cats will avoid the area the Shoo Cat is protecting within 30 days. A power adapter is included with all models so that the unit can be powered on at all times. The unit can also be powered with a 9 volt battery for cordless operation if necessary. Cats can be stubborn and at first it may appear that your cat is ignoring the Shoo Cat. Many cats will walk up to the unit and sniff it or sit by it defiantly. The unit is working and the cat is hearing it. Once the cat learns that they are causing the noise by approaching the Shoo Cat, they will begin to avoid the area. This is a training process that doesn’t happen overnight. Please give it time to train your cat. All Shoo Cat training aids have a 30 day money back guarantee and we ask that you give the unit the full 30 days before requesting a return.
